Professor Wheeler awarded Research Excellence Award


Professor Tony Wheeler was awarded the Dean's Annual Award for Excellent in Research by Dean Mark Higgins of the College of Business Administration on April 5, 2009. Tony joined the SLRC faculty in January, 2008. He has a joint appointment between the SLRC and the College of Business as a professor of Human Resource Management. He teaches Human Resource Development (MBA 578), Organizational Behavior (MBA 502), and Staffing Organizations (LRS 573).

Dr. Wheeler holds a degree in industrial-organizational psychology with a concentration in quantitative methods from the University of Oklahoma. He has published organizational behavior and human resource management research in peer reviewed journals, edited book chapters, and has presented research at international, national, and regional conferences. His research has been conducted in organizational settings, some of which has included multilevel designs and analysis. He serves on the editorial boards at Leadership and Organizational Development Journal and Journal of Business Ethics.

In addition to his academic credentials, he has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
